About Fiera di Codogno

The Autumn Fair of Codogno is one of the oldest and most important agricultural and livestock fairs in Lombardy: founded in 1791 by royal decree, for over two centuries it has celebrated the agriculture of the Lodigiano region every November. Covering an area of 45,000 square meters at the Vezzulli Exhibition Centre, cattle, pigs, and goats are showcased, along with agricultural machinery, typical local products, and handicrafts. With its historic mascot, Pèpu, inspired by Arcimboldo, the Fair is a defining event for Codogno and the entire southern Lodi province.

Over two centuries of history

The Fiera di Codogno is one of the oldest and most established events in agricultural Lombardy. Founded in 1791 by "royal decree", for over two centuries it has marked the autumn in Codogno, in the southern Lodi province (province of Lodi). It is the most important livestock fair in the Lodi area, an event that spans generations and achieves one of the highest edition numbers in Italy each year: the 234th edition was held in November 2025.

A grand showcase of agriculture

Spanning approximately 45,000 square meters, the Giuseppe Vezzulli Exhibition Centre hosts the best of the region's agricultural and livestock production. Within the pavilions and outdoor areas, cattle, pigs, and goats are exhibited, along with agricultural machinery of all types, and local typical products and craftsmanship. It is a showcase that tells the story of the Lodigiano region's farming vocation and its supply chain, from farm to table.

The Pèpu and the Fair's identity

The Fair has its own historic mascot, Pèpu, a figure inspired by Arcimboldo's compositions, which, along with the logo and promotional posters, characterizes its image over time. The event also offers educational activities, guided tours, and interactive workshops designed for schools, making the Fair an occasion for learning as well as celebration.

An event for the entire Lodigiano region

At the heart of Codogno's tradition, the Autumn Fair attracts thousands of visitors each year from Codogno, Lodi, and the entire southern Po Valley plain. Easily accessible from the A1 motorway, it is an event that combines the professional dimension of the agricultural sector with the popular appeal of a large village fair.
