The Patronal Festival of Saint Charles Borromeo is the festival of the patron saint of Castelgerundo, a municipality in the Province of Lodi. The municipality was established on January 1, 2018, from the merger of Cavacurta and Camairago, sanctioned by a referendum: the two villages retained their respective patron saints and chose Saint Charles Borromeo, celebrated on November 4th, as the shared patron saint of the new municipality. A choice that tells the recent history of this area of the Lodi plain.

The religious heart of the festival

The central moment is the solemn mass on Sunday morning in honor of Saint Charles Borromeo, followed by the procession through the village streets, accompanied by local authorities and the musical band.
