Fetish Pride Italy is the most important annual event in Italy dedicated to the leather, rubber, fetish, and BDSM communities. It takes place in Rome, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, the heart of the Lazio region, every year during the first weekend of December. For four days, the capital opens its doors to hundreds of Italian and international participants who choose Rome as their global meeting point: a gathering that blends celebration, culture, and identity advocacy.

Who organizes it

Behind the event is the Leather Club Roma, an Italian cultural association for leather, fetish, and kinky interests founded in 1999. The club launched Fetish Pride in 2014 and has curated every edition since, building a network of collaborations with European fetish clubs and associations over the years. The result is an event that goes beyond nightlife, serving as a space for gathering, education, and dialogue, where respect for consent and others is a non-negotiable rule.

What happens during the weekend

The program alternates between daytime and nighttime activities. In the evenings, major themed parties move between the capital's LGBTQ+ venues—historically the home of Leather Club Roma, the Skyline Club, and the Company Club—each with its own dress code: leather, latex, uniforms, workwear, harness, sneakers, or puppy play. During the day, activities range from guided tours of Rome's underground and monumental sites to cultural meetups, workshops, and the social market, where artisans and specialized brands showcase fetish clothing, accessories, and gear.

The most anticipated moment remains the Mister Rubber Italia finale, which awards the sash to the Italian spokesperson for the rubber community for the following year. It is not just a fashion show: candidates present a project and a vision for representation, and the title entails a concrete commitment to visibility over the next twelve months, including at international fetish events.

An inclusive and responsible event

Fetish Pride Italy clearly asserts its political and cultural dimension: giving visibility to identities often relegated to the margins, even within the LGBTQ+ world. Recent editions have placed a strong emphasis on inclusivity, welcoming people of all genders, ages, and orientations, and complementing parties with moments of reflection on consent, safety, and community culture. Participation in parties hosted in private clubs requires an ARCO membership card, in accordance with Italian regulations on private clubs.
