Two cuisines compared

The Festival Valtellina vs Brianza is a food and wine sagra (traditional festival) that in Mariano Comense (Province of Como) brings into dialogue, and friendly competition, the specialties of Valtellina and Brianza. Organized by Tipico Eventi in collaboration with Mastersciatt, it has become an anticipated event of the season, capable of uniting mountain cuisine and that of the Brianza plain.

Traditional dishes

Among the stands, you can taste the great Valtellinese classics — pizzoccheri, sciatt (buckwheat fritters with cheese), luganega (sausage) — alongside traditional Brianza dishes. To complete the offering, craft beers and selected wines, and ample outdoor dining areas.

Three days at Parco dei Vivai

The event takes place at the Parco dei Vivai in Mariano Comense, with hours spread over three days: Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday for lunch and dinner. A format that allows you to enjoy the sagra (traditional festival) at a relaxed pace, between one tasting and another, in a city park also suitable for families.

Como's Brianza and its table

Mariano Comense, a populous center in Como's Brianza, has a solid tradition of sagre (traditional festivals) and village festivals. Valtellina vs Brianza is a successful example: a festival that celebrates Lombard cuisine in its various forms and strengthens the historical and gastronomic link between the alpine valleys and the plain.
