The festival of active citizenship between music, art, and participation in Montefiore dell'Aso
Radicarti was born in 2026 as a festival of active citizenship in the village of Montefiore dell'Aso, in the Province of Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region. The name itself plays on words: putting down roots in the territory and giving space to the arts, in a municipality that is part of the circuit of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and which houses masterpieces such as the famous Polyptych by Carlo Crivelli.
The Piazza Risorgimento, the living room of the historic center, is transformed for the occasion into a meeting space where musical and artistic moments alternate with workshops, debates, and discussions with experts and associations. The common thread is clear: transforming young people's energies into concrete paths of civic participation, social responsibility, and environmental awareness.
The themes addressed revolve around social inclusion, sustainability, and global citizenship, with a language capable of speaking to new generations without sacrificing artistic quality.
Radicarti is the first concrete event of the S.T.A.Y. (Social Transformation and Active Youth) project, coordinated by Legambiente Marche APS and funded by the Marche Region through the European program GEAR UP!. On-site organization is entrusted to the Collettivo Ventisette, a local youth association. The project aims to foster environmental awareness and civic engagement among the youth of the Piceno area.
Experiencing Radicarti also means discovering Montefiore dell'Aso: the alleys of the historic center, the views of the Valdaso and the Sibillini Mountains, and a rich summer calendar that accompanies the village throughout the beautiful season. An opportunity to combine culture, fun, and reflection on the future of the Marche communities.
The inaugural 2026 edition of Radicarti marks the birth of a new active citizenship festival in Montefiore dell'Aso, in the heart of the Province of Ascoli Piceno. The event was officially presented on May 15, 2026, as part of the village's summer calendar, and is the first concrete event of the European S.T.A.Y. project coordinated by Legambiente Marche APS with the organizational direction of Collettivo Ventisette.
For this first edition, Piazza Risorgimento will host concerts, artistic performances, meetings, and workshops dedicated to civic participation and sustainability.
The detailed program for the inaugural 2026 edition is being finalized and will be announced on the official channels of Collettivo Ventisette and Legambiente Marche in the weeks preceding the event.
The precise dates and full lineup have not yet been published at the time of writing this description.
Among the confirmed events is the live concert by Duo Bucolico in Piazza Risorgimento, alongside workshops and debates on the themes of active citizenship and sustainability.
The festival takes place in Piazza Risorgimento, in the historic center of Montefiore dell'Aso (AP), in the Marche region.
By car: from the A14 motorway, take the Pedaso exit, then follow the SP for Valdaso towards Montefiore dell'Aso. The nearest train station is Pedaso, on the Adriatic line, from which you can continue by bus or taxi to the village.
As this is an active citizenship festival organized as part of a publicly and European funded project, the events in the square are generally free to attend. It is advisable to check the updated dates and program on the channels of Collettivo Ventisette and Legambiente Marche.
