The Sagra dell'Assunta in Solto Collina

The Sagra dell'Assunta is the patronal festival of Solto Collina, a municipality in the Province of Bergamo overlooking the upper Lake Iseo. Celebrated on the occasion of the solemnity of Santa Maria Assunta, the town's patron saint, the festival is organised by the parish and is one of the most anticipated events of the local summer, during the Ferragosto period.

Five days of celebration

From August 11th to 15th, the oratory of Solto Collina becomes the centre of the festivities, with moments of conviviality and entertainment for all ages. The programme alternates between food stalls, live music evenings, juggling and magic shows, in a cheerful atmosphere that attracts locals and holidaymakers from the lake.

Faith and community

Alongside the festive dimension, the festival maintains its religious heart in the celebration of the Assumption on August 15th, a moment of reflection and identity for the community of Solto. It is an occasion for the town to come together, strengthening bonds and celebrating its roots.

On Lake Iseo

Solto Collina, perched at about 450 metres on the hills overlooking the lake, offers a picturesque setting for the festival. Amidst the medieval village, historic hamlets, and the nearby Valle del Freddo, the Sagra dell'Assunta is also an opportunity to discover this authentic corner of Lombardy and the lakeside Bergamo region.
