The fig, symbol of Ficarolo
The Festa dal Figh ad Figarol — literally "Festival of the Fig in Ficarolo" in the Polesine dialect — celebrates the product that gives identity to Ficarolo, a municipality in the province of Rovigo in Alto Polesine. The fig has always been linked to this town on the Po River, and the festival makes it the absolute protagonist of a gastronomic event born in 2019 and rapidly grown.
Street-Figh: the fig in every dish
The heart of the event is the fig-themed street food, renamed "Street-Figh": the stands offer fig risotto, fig tortelli (figazotti), fig burgers with potatoes, and numerous other sweet and savory creations that reinterpret the fruit in a modern way. An original offering that has won over the people of Polesine and beyond.
Music, tombola, and patronal tradition
The festival takes place during the feast days of the patron saint Sant'Antonino Martire (September 2nd), combining the gastronomic dimension with the religious and community aspects. The program alternates concerts and entertainment, musical evenings, and the unmissable tombola with rich prizes. Organized by Pro Loco Ficarolo APS, the Festa dal Figh is now an eagerly awaited event on the late summer calendar of Polesine.

The Festa dal Figh ad Figarol is renewed in Ficarolo during the feast days of the patron saint Sant'Antonino Martire (September 2nd). The event, now in its 7th edition after the previous six, offers fig-themed street food — fig risotto, tortelli (figazotti), fig burgers — along with musical evenings, entertainment, and the traditional tombola with prizes. The specific dates for the 2026 edition will be published by Pro Loco Ficarolo closer to the event.
