The Patronal Festival of Saint Michael the Archangel is the most important event in Villanova del Ghebbo, a municipality in the province of Rovigo. In 2025, it celebrated its 100th edition, a century of history that makes it one of the longest-running patronal festivals in the central Polesine region. Organized by the local Pro Loco association, it takes place at the end of September, around the feast day of Saint Michael the Archangel (September 29th), the town's patron saint, and lasts for about ten days.

The heart of the festival is the typical Polesine cuisine: codfish prepared in various ways, pumpkin cappellacci, and duck bigoli, served at the gastronomic stand that attracts visitors from all over the region.

Alongside the food, the festival offers evenings of dancing with live orchestras, a luna park, photographic exhibitions, cultural and sporting events (including a running race with AVIS), and concludes with a fireworks display. The event will take place, as tradition dictates, at the end of September, around September 29th, the feast day of Saint Michael the Archangel, the town's patron saint, with approximately ten days of celebration.
The typical cuisine of Polesine (codfish, pumpkin cappellacci, duck bigoli), evenings of dancing with live orchestras, the luna park, exhibitions, sporting events, and the final fireworks display will all return.
