About Festival of the Child

Every Easter Monday, the hamlets of Toccol, Prompicai, and Parech, which together form Le Ville di Agordo, celebrate the Festival of the Child on the day of Saint Vincent Ferrer. A village festival where children are the true protagonists: games and entertainment, a rich market, the food stand with typical dishes, a lottery, and an evening dance, all with a strong spirit of solidarity and friendship among the hamlets of Agordino, in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites.

A festival on the day of Saint Vincent Ferrer

The Festival of the Child takes place every Easter Monday (Pasquetta) in Prompicai, one of the hamlets of Le Ville di Agordo, in the province of Belluno. The event coincides with the feast of Saint Vincent Ferrer, to whom the ancient oratory of the hamlet is dedicated. The festival involves the historic hamlets of Toccol, Prompicai, and Parech.

Children at the center of the festival

As the name suggests, the true protagonists are the children: the day offers numerous entertainment activities designed for the little ones, filling the square with voices and games. Around them revolves a festival that unites entire families and focuses on community spirit and solidarity towards local charitable organizations.

Market, gastronomy, and dancing

The program includes a rich market every year, a food stand in the square of Prompicai with typical Agordino dishes, a lottery, and an evening dance. The organization is managed by the association US Le Ville with the support of local entities. It is one of the most cherished spring festivals in Agordino, capable of attracting people from all over the valley.
