Ten days of fish, music, and conviviality along the Piave riverbanks
In Cimadolmo, a municipality in the province of Treviso stretching along the bends of the Piave river, the month of September has coincided with the Festival of Fish and Our Waters for almost forty years. Organized by the Pro Loco Cimadolmo with the support of the municipal administration and local associations, it is one of the most deeply rooted festivals in the Marca Trevigiana: an event that draws visitors from all over the Veneto and celebrates the deep bond between the town and its waters.
The large gastronomic stand is the true protagonist. On the table, you'll find freshwater and saltwater fish specialties: seafood grills, paella, fried dishes, and traditional recipes, accompanied by local wines. The service is designed for both those who want to sit under the marquee and those who prefer takeaway, in a genuine village festival atmosphere that is accessible to all.
The evenings flow with live music and ballroom dancing, with orchestras animating the dance floor until late at night. There are also moments of social interaction typical of Venetian festivals, from the burraco tournament to the youth kiosk, as well as sports initiatives and inflatable games for the little ones.
Alongside the food, the festival offers exhibitions and displays that tell the story of the area and its passions: from painting to fishing equipment, a sign of an event that combines taste, tradition, and popular culture. It is this variety that makes the Fish Festival an event for all ages, capable of uniting multiple generations of the town.
More than just a festival, the Festival of Fish and Our Waters is the moment when Cimadolmo tells its story and comes together. The Pro Loco presents it as an occasion for meeting and for the enhancement of the Piave and rural Veneto, in that strip of the Treviso countryside where the river has always marked the rhythms of life.
The 39th Festival of Fish and Our Waters will return to Cimadolmo in September 2026, confirming an annual event that is now well-established. As tradition dictates, the Pro Loco's event area will host the gastronomic stand with seafood grills, paella, and freshwater and saltwater specialties, accompanied by dancing evenings, live music, and family activities.
Currently, the official dates and the complete schedule for the 39th edition have not yet been published: they will be communicated by Pro Loco Cimadolmo in the weeks leading up to the event.
The detailed program for the 39th edition in 2026 will be announced by Pro Loco Cimadolmo in the months preceding the event. Based on recent editions, the festival spans over ten days with a fish gastronomic stand, dancing evenings with orchestras, a burraco tournament, a youth kiosk, inflatable games for children, and exhibitions dedicated to the local area.
