Handmade Bigoli with the Torchio
The Festa dei Bigoi al Torcio is one of the most characteristic gastronomic festivals in Limena, a municipality in the province of Padua. The star is bigolo, the famous Venetian long pasta, prepared by hand with the ancient bigolaro (the "torchio"), a traditional press that gives the event its name.
Numbers of a Grand Festival
Behind the festival is the work of over 300 volunteers, who knead and serve impressive quantities of product: about 35 quintals of flour and 25,000 eggs broken by hand to create bigoli with duck ragu, with sauce, and in many other variations. The food stand at Prà del Donatore is the heart of the festival.
A Charitable Festival
Organized by the Confraternita dei Bigoi al Torcio APS (Brotherhood of Bigoi al Torcio APS), the event donates its proceeds to social projects and local associations, combining the valorization of a typical Venetian dish with a strong charitable mission.
Bigoi al Torcio Limena — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Festa dei Bigoi al Torcio, the 20th, takes place from April 24th to 28th at Prà del Donatore in Limena, organized by the Confraternita dei Bigoi al Torcio APS.
The food stand opens every evening at 6:30 PM, with lunch service also available on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The stars are the bigoli with duck ragu, with sauce, and in many other variations, handmade with the bigolaro by over 300 volunteers, using about 35 quintals of flour and 25,000 eggs. The proceeds are donated to social projects and ONLUS associations.

How to get there
Limena is located north of Padua, reachable by car from the SS47 and the A4 motorway. The festival takes place at Prà del Donatore.

Admission
