Autumn cellars open their doors to the Metodo Classico
In Franciacorta, the hilly area of the Province of Brescia famous worldwide for its Metodo Classico sparkling wine, autumn is the season for open cellars. The Festival Franciacorta in Cantina transforms the territory into a large, widespread wine-tourism route: among the key municipalities is Corte Franca, in the heart of the appellation, with its hamlets dedicated to viticulture such as Nigoline, Borgonato, Colombaro and Timoline.
For an entire weekend, wineries offer a rich program of experiences:
Franciacorta is a sparkling wine produced with secondary fermentation in the bottle, the same method as Champagne: for this reason, the festival is a precious opportunity to understand its techniques and appreciate its quality directly from the voice of those who produce it. In Corte Franca and other municipalities of the appellation, the event attracts enthusiasts, industry professionals and the curious, in a dialogue between wine culture, landscape and hospitality that makes Franciacorta an excellent wine tourism destination.
The 2026 edition of the festival takes place on the weekend of September 18-20. The numerous wineries of Franciacorta welcome visitors, enthusiasts, and professionals for three days dedicated to the Metodo Classico, featuring guided tours, tastings, picnics among the vines, cultural and sporting initiatives, and meetings with producers. Corte Franca, in the heart of the appellation, participates with its wineries.
Wineries in the municipal territory participate in Corte Franca. Full program and bookings on the Franciacorta Consortium website.
