La Castagna in Festa is organised by the Pro Loco Sarnico together with AVIS Sarnico, and is part of the Wonderfood & Wine initiative by Regione Lombardia and Unioncamere Lombardia for the promotion of local flavours. With free admission, it is a genuine village festival that combines taste, tradition, and solidarity.
