In the heart of Franciacorta, the village of Monticelli Brusati, in the Province of Brescia, hosts the Magnalonga di Franciacorta, a gastronomic walk that combines light sport, landscape, and tasting. The name itself – "magnalonga" – evokes the idea of a long meal spread out along the walk, amidst the vineyards that have made this land famous.

Thirteen Kilometers, Six Tasting Stops

The route covers about 13 kilometers through the roads, paths, and hamlets of Monticelli Brusati. Along the way, six stops spread throughout the area welcome walkers with a different typical dish at each stage, paired with wines from the best Franciacorta wineries – from La Montina to Antica Fratta, from Villa to Lo Sparviere, and many others.

The Franciacorta Landscape

The Magnalonga is also a way to discover the Franciacorta landscape, among rows of vines, hills, and glimpses of the territory. Walking at a slow pace, stopping to taste and toast, allows you to fully experience the identity of this area, where wine and food and wine are an integral part of the local culture.

Organized by the association ProMonticelli, the Magnalonga di Franciacorta is one of the most anticipated events of early autumn in the region. Registrations usually open at the end of July on the association's website. An event that simultaneously enhances the food and wine heritage and the scenic beauty of Monticelli Brusati and Franciacorta.
