Festival del Bosco

A festival born from the forest

The Festival del Bosco is a new, widespread event entirely dedicated to the forest and its relationship with humans. It takes place on the Altopiano del Sole, in Valle Camonica, province of Brescia, and involves the six municipalities of the plateau: Angolo Terme, Borno, Lozio, Ossimo, Malegno, and Piancogno. More than an event concentrated in a single square, it is a festival distributed throughout the territory, inviting visitors to experience the forest in all its dimensions.

Nature, science, well-being, and culture

The program is extensive and multidisciplinary, designed for diverse audiences:

• guided excursions and citizen science activities to discover biodiversity;
• workshops on botany, herbalism, and traditional crafts;
• well-being practices such as forest bathing, outdoor yoga, and meditation in the woods;
• concerts and theatrical performances immersed in nature;
• meetings and conferences on silviculture, the environment, and local identity.

Forest, water, light, and community

The common thread of the festival is the interconnection between the forest, water, light, and the community that inhabits these places. The goal is to rediscover the forest not as a mere backdrop, but as a living heritage, a source of well-being, culture, and identity for the villages of the Altopiano del Sole.

A debut for Valle Camonica

Promoted by the Pro Loco of Borno in collaboration with the six municipalities of the plateau, the Festival del Bosco presents itself as an event with a strong environmental and cultural vocation, capable of enhancing the alpine landscape of the province of Brescia and promoting slow, conscious tourism in contact with nature.
