The Saint Anthony Community Festival

FestAntonio is the parish festival that animates the hamlet of Sant'Antonio in Porto Mantovano, a municipality in the immediate vicinity of Mantua, every year. Linked to the feast day of Saint Anthony of Padua (June 13th), the festival takes place over a week and represents one of the most cherished moments of the year for the parish community.

Sports, Food, and Music

The program intertwines three aspects: sports, with five-a-side football, water volleyball, table tennis, and foosball tournaments open to local teams; food, with gastronomic stands offering traditional dishes; and live music, which accompanies every evening of the festival. It's a proven formula that successfully engages children, young people, adults, and families, making the festival a gathering point for all of Porto Mantovano.

A Community Network

FestAntonio is organized by the association Amici della Parrocchia di Sant'Antonio (Friends of the Parish of Saint Anthony), which mobilizes volunteers, energy, and ideas each year to set up the festival. The event is supported by about thirty local businesses, from restaurants to pastry shops to fresh pasta makers: a concrete sign of the event's deep roots in the economic and social fabric of the Mantua area.

A Week of Celebration

More than just a simple festival, FestAntonio is a week of widespread celebration, during which the community of Porto Mantovano comes together around its parish. Between a tournament match, a dish from a food stall, and an evening concert, the event embodies the genuine spirit of village festivals in the province of Mantua, built on participation and belonging.
