Tor Tre Teste is one of those Roman neighborhoods that tell the story of the post-war city and its large residential suburbs: apartment blocks, parks, schools, and a community life built day by day. Here, in Municipio V of Rome, the San Tommaso d'Aquino Parish on Via Davide Campari organizes Festa Insieme, two evenings of celebration open to everyone in the courtyard and oratory spaces.
This isn't a major event with glossy posters, and that is precisely its value: it is the neighborhood festival where you sit at a table with your neighbors, chat with the volunteers serving the food, and let the children run free in the small field while the adults stay up late talking.
Cuisine as a pretext
The culinary program is simple and authentically Roman. The first evening is dedicated to amatriciana, the dish that, more than any other in the Lazio region, signifies a shared table: guanciale, pecorino, tomato, and nothing else, served in generous portions under the gazebos. The second evening changes pace and moves to the grill, with sausage and frankfurter sandwiches, in a neighborhood street food style designed for eating on the go, walking around, and stopping to say hello to friends.
Everything is prepared and served by the parish Festival Committee, the group that also enlivens the pastoral year's opening and closing celebrations, the Corpus Domini procession, and the Marian procession at the end of May.
Who is behind it
The initiative is promoted by the parish priest Father Domenico Vitulli, who over the years has made the parish a neighborhood landmark: oratory, soccer tournaments, cultural meetings (such as the conference for the 750th anniversary of the death of Saint Thomas Aquinas in 2024), and, of course, community festivals. In 2024, the community celebrated its jubilee year, a sign of a parish history now deeply rooted in the fabric of Tor Tre Teste.

It is a festival that belongs to the neighborhood, but no one will feel out of place—the invitation is, quite literally, to be together.

The weekend of June 13-14, 2026, the San Tommaso d'Aquino parish on Via Davide Campari, in Tor Tre Teste (Municipio V, Rome), hosted two evenings of celebration open to the neighborhood. The formula, as per tradition, is the simple and proven one of the parish festival: outdoor tables, volunteer cooking, and no need to book.
Saturday was dedicated to amatriciana, served starting at 8:00 PM; on Sunday, also from 8:00 PM, the focus shifted to the grill with sausage and frankfurter sandwiches, in a more informal style, meant to be eaten while standing and walking among the gazebos. Around the kitchen, the true program was that of meeting: neighbors finding each other, children playing in the oratory courtyard, and volunteers at the stoves and tables.

- Closing of the festival late in the evening.
The culinary program was managed by the volunteers of the parish Festival Committee. In previous editions, the festival also included an outdoor Holy Mass before dinner and musical entertainment moments (karaoke, poems in Roman dialect, performances by local music schools).

How to get there
By car from Via Prenestina or Viale Palmiro Togliatti, with street parking available in the neighborhood. By public transport: ATAC surface lines connect Tor Tre Teste with the Torre Maura/Torre Angela Metro C stations and the Roma Prenestina train station. From the center, it is best to take Metro C to the Casilina stops and then a bus.
