Four days of patronal festival in Noli, between a sea procession and fireworks on the pier
Noli, in the Province of Savona, is one of the most charming villages on the Riviera di Ponente, proud of its past as a Maritime Republic. In July, the town celebrates its patron saint, Sant'Eugenio, with a festival that unfolds over four days and is the most anticipated event of the summer for the Noli community.
The religious program is the heart of the festival. The solemn Mass on Sunday is presided over by the Bishop in the Cathedral of San Pietro, while the ancient relics are displayed and returned to their place on the opening and closing days. The most evocative moment is the boat procession to the Island of Bergeggi, a maritime procession that combines the spiritual dimension with the village's seafaring heritage.
The festival is also an opportunity to experience Noli in all its beauty: guided tours of the medieval historic center, the fair with stalls along the streets, fried fish, and a photographic exhibition dedicated to the village. The grand finale is the fireworks display launched from the Sant'Antonio Pier, with the possibility of admiring it also from a panoramic viewpoint reachable by an evening excursion. Four days that tell the soul of Noli, between faith, history, and the sea.
For 2026, the Festa di Sant'Eugenio will be celebrated again in Noli in July, following the tradition of holding it around the second Sunday, with four days of festivities. The proven formula is confirmed: religious ceremonies with a solemn Mass in the Cathedral of San Pietro, the picturesque boat procession to the Island of Bergeggi, guided tours of the medieval village, the fair, fried fish, and the fireworks display from the Sant'Antonio Pier.
The detailed program will be released by the Municipality and the parish of Noli closer to the festival.
