The celebrations for the patron saint of Arquà Polesine
Saint Andrew the Apostle is the patron saint of Arquà Polesine, in the province of Rovigo, and his feast day is on November 30th. It is one of the most cherished events of the year for the community of Arquà, which every autumn gathers around its parish church to honor the figure of the apostle.
The celebrations are not limited to the religious aspect. In recent years, the festival has been enriched with cultural initiatives: insights into the artistic heritage related to Saint Andrew, led by local speakers, and significant musical events. The central moment remains the solemn Holy Mass in the Church of Saint Andrew, often celebrated in the presence of the Bishop of the diocese of Adria-Rovigo.
At the end of the religious celebrations, tradition dictates moments of conviviality for attendees, organized with the collaboration of local associations. The Festa di Sant'Andrea thus represents an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of the community of Arquà Polesine, between faith, culture, and the town's identity.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the parish and the Municipality. The usual structure includes:
