Sospirolo's Patronal Festival

The Festa di San Pietro is the patronal festival of Sospirolo, in the province of Belluno, and is celebrated on June 29th, the liturgical feast day of Saints Peter and Paul. The village parish church is dedicated to the two apostles: the current church was completed in 1898 and consecrated by Giuseppe Sarto, then a cardinal and later Pope Pius X, a historical link of which the community is proud.

Between Faith and Community

The occasion is marked by religious celebrations in honour of Saint Peter the Apostle, the village's patron saint, accompanied by moments of celebration and community gathering. Like many patronal festivals in Valbelluna, Sospirolo's also combines the spiritual dimension with the popular one, in an event that renews the sense of belonging for the people of Sospirolo every year.
