European Folk Dances in Osio Sotto

Osio Folk is the festival dedicated to European folk music and dances that enlivens Osio Sotto every year, a town in the Bergamo plains. Organized by the associations Ritmosio and Aria di Danze, it is an event designed for balfolk enthusiasts but open to all citizens, focused on sharing dance.

Balfolk Concerts and Dance Workshops

The program combines live concerts and dance workshops: from Iberian to Balkan dances, participants can learn steps and figures before joining in the dances to the rhythm of the balfolk groups. Italian folk musicians and bands take turns on stage, in a sequence that fills the two days of the festival.

Traditional Songs and Entertainment

Alongside the concerts, there is space for traditional folk songs and moments of entertainment that involve the public. The balfolk format—where attendees are invited to dance—makes Osio Folk a participatory and convivial event, capable of uniting different generations around folk music.

A Festival Between the Library and the Parish

The festival venues are the Civic Library and the spaces of the Parish of San Zenone Vescovo in Osio Sotto, with the patronage of the Municipality.
