The Levate Alpini Celebrate

In the Municipality of Levate, on the outskirts of Bergamo, the Alpine Group is one of the most active local associations, and every year in June it organizes its Festa Alpina at the San Luigi Gonzaga Oratory. It is an event that brings the town together in the spirit of conviviality and commitment that distinguishes the 'penne nere' (Alpine soldiers).

Food, Bar, and Tombola

The festival takes place over several evenings, traditionally spread across two weekends in the month. Every evening, the restaurant opens with specialties of Bergamasque cuisine, accompanied by bar service and the unmissable tombola (a lottery game similar to bingo). The management is entrusted to the volunteers of the Alpine Group, who make the festival a moment of aggregation for the entire community.

A Tradition of the Lower Bergamo Area

The Festa Alpina di Levate is part of the rich calendar of summer festivals that, in the municipalities of the Province of Bergamo, liven up oratories and sports centers between June and August. It is an opportunity to gather around the table, support the initiatives of the Alpini, and experience the village atmosphere in a municipality in the first urban belt, often perceived as a residential area.
