The Festa dell'Assunta is the heart of Ferragosto in Arsiero, in the province of Vicenza. On August 15th, the day of the Assumption, the town in the Alto Astico valley gathers for a festival that combines religious and convivial elements, organized by the Pro Loco Arsiero as part of the Agosto Arsierese (Arsiero's August) program.
The Sagra della Trota
The star of the table is the trout, caught in the clear waters of the Astico stream and served fried or grilled. The Sagra della Trota (Trout Festival) takes place at the Palatenda of Patronato Don Bosco, with food stalls open for lunch and dinner. A simple and genuine dish that tells the story of the town's connection with its river and mountains.
