The Castle of the Seventy Ghosts

The Festa del Fantasma originates from the most famous legend of Maccastorna, a small village in the Lodi area, in the province of Lodi: the legend that claims its castle is inhabited by seventy ghosts. The story has its roots in a bloody event in 1406, when – according to tradition – Carlo Cavalcabò and his brothers were massacred in the castle by Cabrino Fondulo, who wished to become lord of Cremona.

Themed Tours and Shows

The event features guided tours and themed theatrical performances that wind through the village streets and near the castle. Actors and storytellers guide visitors on a journey through history and enchantment, where ancient legends come to life in the twilight of summer evenings, offering an experience that is as cultural as it is emotional.
