About Festa dei Marroni
A tradition born in 1945
The Festa dei Marroni di Combai was born in 1945 with the aim of promoting and supporting the territory, and today it is one of the most famous autumn festivals in the Veneto region. It takes place in Combai, a small hillside hamlet of the Municipality of Miane in the province of Treviso, and for weeks it enlivens the village with the aromas of roasted chestnuts and traditional Venetian dishes. In 2026, it reaches its 82nd edition, organized by the Pro Loco Combai.
The Marrone di Combai IGP
The heart of the festival is the Marrone di Combai IGP, a prized chestnut that grows on the wooded slopes above Miane. You can find it in many variations: from the classic caldarrosta (roasted chestnut) to cakes, from jams to first courses, up to craft chestnut beers. Along the village streets, food stalls offer Venetian autumn specialties.
Woods, art, and workshops
The event is also an invitation to experience the woods: you can watch the processing and participate, in dedicated and guided areas, in the chestnut picking. Among the most characteristic events are the Wood Sculpture Symposium, where artisans shape themed works, the BoscAR-T outdoor installations, and workshops for children, making the festival suitable for the whole family.
Festa dei Marroni — edition 2026
The 82nd Festa dei Marroni di Combai is scheduled from October 10 to November 2, 2026, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, in the hamlet of Combai in Miane (TV). Opening on Friday, October 10th, with the Sculpture Symposium. For weeks, the village comes alive with roasted chestnuts, dishes made with chestnuts, walks in the chestnut groves, workshops, and art installations in the woods.

Combai is a hillside hamlet of Miane (TV), reachable from the SP4. Nearest A27 motorway exit: Conegliano. A free shuttle service from Miane operates every Sunday.
