The festival of apples and zero-km products in the historic centre of Mel
In the village of Mel, part of Borgo Valbelluna (province of Belluno), Mele a Mel returns every autumn, the festival dedicated to apples and zero-kilometre products from the region. The event enlivens the historic centre and winds through the noble 16th-century courtyards of the village, a setting that alone is worth the visit.
Apples grown in the area are the focus of tastings and gastronomic offerings: strudel, juices, risottos, homemade desserts like 'Zumeloti'. The local produce market completes the offering with mountain cheeses, Dolomite honey, grappas, cereals, dried fruit, and local vegetables.
Organised by the Pro Loco Zumellese, Mele a Mel promotes agriculture and the identity of Valbelluna, offering visitors and families an immersion into the flavours, traditions, and historic architecture of one of the most characteristic villages in the province of Belluno.
The 2026 edition of Mele a Mel is scheduled from October 9 to 11 in the historic centre of Mel, set up in ten noble 16th-century courtyards. Three days dedicated to apples and zero-kilometre products from Valbelluna, with tastings, a market, choral singing, and family activities.
The program with times and details will be published by Pro Loco Zumellese in the weeks preceding the event. The structure of the 2026 edition includes:
Exhibitor registration from June 20 to August 20, 2026 (Pro Loco Zumellese, +39 389 4439585).
Mel is located in Borgo Valbelluna, along the SS50 in Valbelluna, between Belluno and Feltre. During the festival, a shuttle service operates from external car parks, and limited camper van pitches are available in the industrial area.
