The Fèsta dè j òof còt — in Cremona dialect, "festival of cooked eggs" — is one of the longest-running festivals in Gerre de' Caprioli (Province of Cremona). Born in 1981 from a group of friends who used to gather for simple spring meals, it has grown into a major event attracting visitors from all over the Cremona region.
Three Weekends of Celebration
The event takes place in the Bosco ex Parmigiano, in Piazza Tommaso Caprioli, and unfolds over three weekends with a rich program:
- Cooked eggs prepared in various ways, the festival's signature dish, served with radicchio ("òof e grignos");
- Food stalls offering the flavors of Cremona tradition;
- Live music and entertainment evenings;
- Non-competitive run and related initiatives.
A Festival of Solidarity
Behind the conviviality lies a strong charitable commitment: over a hundred volunteers animate the festival, and part of the proceeds are donated to the LILT (Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer), Cremona branch. The Fèsta dè j òof còt is thus much more than a food festival: it is an example of a community that, starting from a simple dish, builds solidarity and bonds, celebrating the identity of Gerre de' Caprioli.
Fèsta dè j òof còt — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the 43rd, runs from April 24 to May 10 over three weekends (April 24-26, April 30 - May 3, May 8-10) at Bosco ex Parmigiano. The stars are the cooked eggs prepared in various ways, accompanied by radicchio, along with the traditional Cremona food stalls. Among the events, Radio Bruno will be present on April 25, and a non-competitive run will be held on May 1. Over 130 volunteers animate the festival, with part of the proceeds donated to LILT, Cremona branch.

Getting Here
Gerre de' Caprioli is located in the province of Cremona, along the Po River south of the provincial capital, reachable via the former SS10 provincial road. The festival takes place at Bosco ex Parmigiano, in Piazza Tommaso Caprioli.
Admission and Hours
Free admission. Food stalls generally open for dinner, with additional openings on holidays.
