The classic Ferrari gathering that concludes in Maranello
The Ferrari Legacy Tour is an itinerant rally reserved for a selection of the rarest and most coveted vintage Ferraris in the world. Organized by Ferrari Classiche Officina, the Prancing Horse's department dedicated to historic cars, each edition celebrates an iconic model, accompanying its owners on a multi-day journey through some of Italy's most beautiful regions. The common thread is always the same: combining the passion for automotive collecting with the pleasure of discovering villages, landscapes, and local food and wine traditions.
Although it is a tour that touches multiple regions, the emotional heart of the event is the return home, to Maranello, in the heart of the Emilia-Romagna Motor Valley, in the province of Modena. It is here, in the factory that saw these legendary automobiles born, that the journey concludes. The cars stop in Piazza Libertà, the town's main square, where anyone can admire them up close, before parading to the renowned Fiorano circuit, Ferrari's test track.
The Legacy Tour is not a simple parade: it is a tribute to the history of Italian motoring and the industrial identity of Emilia-Romagna, a region that, with Maranello, Modena, and the Motor Valley, represents one of the world capitals of engines. The Ferraris participating are worth staggering sums and are often unique pieces or produced in very limited numbers, jealously guarded by international collectors who, for a few days, bring them back to the road as they were conceived to be.
Participation in the tour is reserved for owners of invited cars, but the public moments — particularly the stop in Maranello — are open to all enthusiasts. It is the perfect opportunity to photograph cars up close that are normally only seen in museums or at international auctions, in an authentic and evocative setting like that of Ferrari's homeland.
The 2026 edition of the Ferrari Legacy Tour, the fourth, was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Ferrari 275 GTB4, unveiled at the 1966 Paris Motor Show as the first production Ferrari to feature a V12 engine with four overhead camshafts. From May 5 to 8, approximately 33 examples of the 275 — in GTB, GTS, and GTB4 versions — driven by about seventy collectors from around the world, traversed the roads of Umbria, Tuscany, and Emilia-Romagna, visiting iconic locations such as the Umbrian hills of Monte Castello di Vibio and the historic city of Spoleto. The grand finale, on Friday, May 8, brought the cars back home, to Maranello.
The tour unfolded over four days through central Italy, with routes in Umbria, Tuscany, and Emilia-Romagna. Among the symbolic stops: the Umbrian hills of Monte Castello di Vibio and the historic city of Spoleto, with the patronage of the Municipalities of Bevagna, Monte Castello di Vibio, and Spoleto.
Maranello is located in the province of Modena, along the SP467. By car: take the A1 Modena Sud exit, then the SS12 and SP467 (about 18 km from Modena). By train: Modena station, then take a local bus to Maranello. Nearest airports: Bologna Guglielmo Marconi (approx. 60 km) and Parma.
The main public event is the stop in Piazza Libertà, in the center of Maranello. Also not to be missed is the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, at Via Dino Ferrari 43, open all year round.
Arrive a little early to find a spot in the square: the arrival of the cars attracts many enthusiasts and photographers. Always check the updated times on the official event website before you leave.
