Veternigo and its Cabbage

The Feast of the Transfiguration and Cabbage Festival takes place in the hamlet of Veternigo, in Santa Maria di Sala (province of Venice), in early August. The festival is named after the capusso – savoy cabbage – an emblem of the area's agricultural and gastronomic tradition, celebrated here as the star of the table.
