The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the most important event of the year for Tottea, a mountain village in the Municipality of Crognaleto, in the province of Teramo, located in the heart of Abruzzo and the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. Celebrated annually on September 8th, the day the Church commemorates the birth of Mary, the feast is a historic landmark for the entire community of the upper Vomano valley and attracts faithful and visitors from all over the region.
