The Feast of Saint John the Baptist 2026 returns to Giove (province of Terni) around the anniversary of June 24th. The religious program includes a triduum of preparation, with rosary and mass, and the solemn day of the patron saint.
On June 24th, the day begins with bell ringing and masses, leading up to the solemn celebration with blessings for wedding anniversaries (10th, 25th, 50th, and 60th), and for those named John. The ancient offering of the votive candle, the procession through the districts with stops at the sanctuary of Saint John and the church of San Rocco, the historical pageant, and evening concerts are also featured.

- 8:00 AM — Solemn bell ringing
- 9:00 AM — Holy Mass
- 11:00 AM — Solemn Mass with blessings for wedding anniversaries (10th, 25th, 50th, 60th), for those born on June 24th, and for those named Giovanni, Gianni, Gianna, or Giovanna
- 4:30 PM — Rosary
- Offering of the votive candle and procession through the districts, with stops at the sanctuary of Saint John and the church of San Rocco

How to get there
Giove is located in the lower Tiber Valley, in the province of Terni, near the border with Lazio. By car, it can be reached from the SS205 Amerina or the A1 motorway (Orte or Attigliano exits). The celebrations take place in the historic center and churches of the village.
