Four nights of live music and craft beer in Fabrica di Roma
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The FdB Festival is the historic Beer Festival of the town of Fabrica di Roma, in the province of Viterbo, in the heart of the Lazio Tuscia. Every year, at the end of August, the Piazzale Madre Teresa di Calcutta transforms for four nights into a large open-air stage where live music, craft beer, and community spirit come together. The formula, which has remained faithful to itself for over twenty years, is the same as ever: completely free admission and free parking throughout the town.
Born as a small village festival, the FdB Festival has grown to become one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer in the province of Viterbo, reaching its twenty-fifth edition in 2025. The artistic lineup is deliberately eclectic and high-quality: over the years, the stage has hosted rock, punk, folk, metal, rap, and singer-songwriter acts, alternating established names from the Italian scene with emerging bands and niche artists beloved by enthusiasts. It is this variety, combined with the free concerts, that makes the festival a landmark not only for the local public but for live music fans from all over Lazio.
Alongside the concerts, the FdB Festival owes its name to its generous beer offerings: every edition features a selection of craft beers and international productions, with dedicated tasting evenings. There is no shortage of food stalls and street food, which enliven the square until late at night and complete the experience of a festival designed to be enjoyed in good company, between one concert and the next.
What sets the FdB Festival apart is its deeply popular nature: the choice to maintain free admission for all nights, combined with free parking throughout the town, makes it an event truly open to families, young people, and enthusiasts. On August nights, Fabrica di Roma thus becomes a meeting point for the entire Viterbo Tuscia, capable of combining the intimate dimension of a small Lazio village with the energy of a full-scale music festival.
After reaching its twenty-fifth edition, the FdB Festival is expected to return in summer 2026 to Fabrica di Roma. As per tradition, the event is expected to take place in August, featuring four nights of live music with free admission, craft beer, and food stalls at the Piazzale Madre Teresa di Calcutta.
The festival takes place in the center of Fabrica di Roma (province of Viterbo, Lazio), traditionally at Piazzale Madre Teresa di Calcutta.
By car: Fabrica di Roma is about 80 km from Rome and 25 km from Viterbo, accessible via the Via Cassia and the Orte-Viterbo expressway. By train: the Fabrica di Roma station is served by the Rome-Viterbo line (Rome North railway). During the festival, free parking is available throughout the town.
All concert nights have free admission.
