Halloween night in the Alburni mountains, featuring live music, DJ sets, and Cilento flavors
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
FasanHell Fest was born in 2025 in Sant'Angelo a Fasanella, in the province of Salerno, with a simple yet brilliant concept: to give October 31st a distinct local identity, far removed from standardized holiday parties. The name itself is a play on words between Fasanella and the English word hell, perfectly capturing the event's spirit: irony, live music, and deep Cilento roots. It is not an imported event, but rather the autumn counterpart to the Fasanella Fest, the summer festival that brings the village to life every August.
The choice of venue is a major part of the evening's charm. The Cloister of the former Carmelite Convent is an intimate space, with its portico wrapping around the courtyard—a natural setting for a stage, food stalls, and an audience mingling between music and conversation. With themed decorations, lighting effects, and installations, the cloister is transformed into the ideal backdrop for the «spookiest» night of the year, maintaining a familiar atmosphere suitable for all ages.
The format focuses on live performance. The inaugural edition featured a big band, a headline concert, and a closing DJ set, creating a sonic journey from Mediterranean pop to reggae and dance rhythms that kept the crowd moving late into the night. It is a formula that works perfectly in a village of a few hundred inhabitants: one stage, a tight schedule, and no distractions.
As with any self-respecting festival in Campania, the food is far from a mere side note. Alongside the stage, you will find stalls serving sandwiches, craft beer, and cocktails, as well as traditional Cilento dishes, showcasing local products and the conviviality that serves as the true glue of the evening. Eating on the move between sets, in an illuminated cloister, is perhaps the most iconic memory participants take home.
At its core, FasanHell Fest represents a clear vision of community: providing local youth with a tool to organize, plan, and keep the village vibrant even outside the summer months, when small inland towns risk losing their momentum.
The village sits at an altitude of about 520 meters on the slopes of the Alburni Mountains, within the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park. It is a territory well-known to speleology and hiking enthusiasts, home to hundreds of mapped caves. Visitors coming for the festival can combine the evening with a trip to the Cave of Saint Michael the Archangel, a rock-hewn church featuring medieval frescoes and sculptures, the Baronial Castle, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, or the Antece, the famous rock sculpture of the warrior on the Costa Palomba.
FasanHell Fest is a unique evening, concentrated on the night of October 31st, starting late in the evening. It is not a massive festival for thousands of people; rather, it is a modern village feast with high-quality music and excellent hospitality, where it is easy to arrive and feel at home. For those who do not yet know this part of Campania, it is a perfect opportunity to discover an authentic Alburni village out of season.
At the moment, there are no official announcements from the Municipality of Sant'Angelo a Fasanella or the Youth Forum regarding a second edition of FasanHell Fest. The festival was born in 2025 as a Halloween night event and was held on October 31st in the Cloister of the former Carmelite Convent, featuring concerts, DJ sets, and food stalls.
Those wishing to participate in 2026 can monitor the official municipal channels and the local Pro Loco social media pages, where event programs for the village are published. We will update this page as soon as official dates and programs are released.
By car: take the Petina or Sicignano degli Alburni exit on the A2 «del Mediterraneo» motorway, then follow the provincial roads towards the Alburni mountains; the village is at an altitude of approx. 520m. The most convenient train station is Sicignano degli Alburni; the nearest airport is Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi, followed by Naples Capodichino. We recommend traveling by car, as public transport in the inland areas is very limited in the evening.
