The valley on display

Expo Valle Impero is the major event that brings together the excellences of eight municipalities in the Valle Impero, in the hinterland of Imperia. It takes place in Chiusavecchia, which acts as the lead and hosts the exhibition spaces, involving Aurigo, Borgomaro, Caravonica, Cesio, Chiusanico, Chiusavecchia, Lucinasco, and Pontedassio. Now in its 4th edition in 2026, it is organized by the Municipality together with the Chamber of Commerce Riviere di Liguria.

Flavors, crafts, and tradition

For three days, stands will showcase the agricultural and artisanal products of the area: protagonists are the Taggiasca extra virgin olive oil and local wines, but also traditional dishes served by the Pro Loco associations — Ligurian-style rabbit, panissa, gnocchi, and fried bread. The program alternates tastings, show cooking, workshops, guided excursions, and concerts, with the entertaining culinary challenge between the mayors of the participating municipalities.

Between slow tourism and tradition

Expo Valle Impero was created to promote sustainable tourism and the rediscovery of the Imperia hinterland, too often overshadowed by the coast. The event concludes on June 2nd, Republic Day, coinciding with the historic Centennial Fair of Chiusavecchia, the town's ancient agricultural exhibition. An opportunity to discover the Valle Impero through taste, nature, and community.
