The exhibition dedicated to music, instruments, and industry professions at BolognaFiere
Eufonica - Exhibition of Music and its Professions is the event conceived and organized by BolognaFiere that every spring brings the entire world of music to the exhibition halls of Bologna: instruments, training, lutherie, industry publishing, technological innovation, and the professions surrounding the music industry. It takes place in the Municipality of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna, a city recognized by UNESCO as a Creative City of Music.
Eufonica was created as an exhibition and professional space aimed at a broad and diverse audience: musicians and students, journalists and industry professionals, artisans and luthiers, producers, publishers, technicians, and cultural operators. With over 300 events scheduled, the exhibition alternates training moments and discussion opportunities with live performances, making the behind-the-scenes of the music industry accessible to everyone.
The exhibition path is divided into macro-areas dedicated to training, musical instruments, lutherie, publishing, services for entertainment, and innovation. Among the events that characterize the exhibition:
Alongside the exhibition areas, Eufonica offers a packed program of concerts, performances by music schools, workshops, conferences, and seminars. The exhibition is also an opportunity for training and orientation for young musicians and for those who wish to approach music professions, from lutherie to management, from production to publishing.
It is no coincidence that Eufonica takes place in Bologna: since 2006, the Emilian city has been a UNESCO Creative City of Music, an award that celebrates a vibrant musical tradition made up of theaters, a conservatory, schools, clubs, and festivals. The exhibition fits into this context as an annual showcase for a sector that in Italy counts thousands of professionals and enthusiasts.
From May 15 to 17, 2026, Hall 33 of BolognaFiere hosted the fourth edition of Eufonica - Exhibition of Music and its Professions, with over 300 events on the calendar. Hours: Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The absolute star was the Drum Show, a new international exhibition area dedicated to drums and percussion set up in Hall 34, enhanced by the Dom Famularo Memorial Day with masterclasses, a competition, and a final evening show. Among other events were the Vinyl Experience, the Guitar Show, the MEI - Meeting of Independent Labels, the ESTA - European String Teachers Association conference for its 50th anniversary, and two International Lutherie Competitions.
Three days of programming with over 300 events: conferences, masterclasses, workshops, performances by music schools, and concerts. Exhibition areas dedicated to training, instruments, lutherie, publishing, services for entertainment, and innovation. Saturday and Sunday evenings (7:30 PM - 10:30 PM) feature Drum Show performances.
