Erba Piano Festival

A new piano festival in the Larian Triangle

The Erba Piano Festival was founded in 2026 as an international piano review promoted by the European Academy of Music in Erba, in the heart of the Larian Triangle and just a few kilometers from the two branches of Lake Como. For six days, the town in the province of Como, Lombardy, becomes a meeting point for young pianists, conservatory students, professional concert artists, and simple lovers of great music.

Study, exchange, and stage

The festival offers a complete formula that intertwines training and performance. Participants attend public masterclasses held by a faculty of internationally renowned pianists, including Joanna MacGregor, Pier Francesco Forlenza, and Ignas Maknickas, alongside a private coaching session with conductor Geoffrey Simon. The most anticipated moment is the performance of a Mozart Piano Concerto with the Festival String Orchestra during the final concerts.

Three historic venues

Activities take place in three evocative locations in the Erba area: Castello di Pomerio, which hosts masterclasses and educational activities, and two exceptional settings for the evening concerts open to the public: Villa Parravicino Sossnovsky and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The choice of venues enhances the musical experience with the charm of the Larian historical and landscape heritage.

A showcase for young talents

The stated goal is to offer young pianists a well-rounded artistic experience: individual study, exchange with great performers, and real opportunities to perform live in front of an audience.
