With a history dating back to the 1990s, the exhibition is one of the most established sand art experiences in the Italian scene. The 2026 edition is the 28th and revolves around the theme "The Power of Change", chosen to explore transformation as a generative force. The exhibition is open from May 9 to October 4, 2026, in Piazza Brescia, while the sculpting phase takes place from April 18 to May 1.
Artists interpret natural transformations alongside human stories of innovation, unity, and renewal, celebrating metamorphosis, rebirth, and adaptability. Sand itself becomes a symbol of change: fragile yet capable of becoming extraordinarily solid. The path, designed for families, is a free open-air museum.
