A night among vineyards and stars in the heart of Piceno

Enotour is one of the most original summer offerings from Pro Loco Cossinea: not a simple festival, but an experience that intertwines walking, food and wine, and contact with nature in the hills of Cossignano, a medieval village in the Province of Ascoli Piceno, in Marche. The event is for those who love to discover the territory slowly, on foot, rewarding the effort of the walk with a convivial dinner and an overnight stay under the starry sky.

The route: the "Le Cese" trail

The departure is scheduled for late afternoon from Piazzale Europa, in the center of Cossignano. From here, participants set off along the "Le Cese" nature trail, which crosses the Cossignanese countryside through vineyards, cultivated fields, and badlands, with views stretching from the Sibillini Mountains to the Adriatic Sea. The destination is Colle Massi, a panoramic hill within the farm's land, where the camp is set up for the night.

Dinner under the stars

Upon arrival, after setting up tents, tarps, and sleeping bags, the convivial dinner begins, featuring specialties prepared by the Agriturismo Fonte Orfeo in Cossignano. This is the most anticipated moment of the evening: local dishes, regional wines, and shared stories under a sky far from city lights. Cossignano is indeed part of the select group of municipalities producing Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC and Offida DOC, and wine is a natural protagonist of the evening.

Sleeping outdoors

The unique feature of Enotour is the outdoor overnight stay: participants spend the night all together on the hill, in tents, under a tarp, or simply with a sleeping mat and sleeping bag. An informal and communal experience that reconnects you with the rhythm of nature and offers the gift of waking up among the vineyards at dawn.

A local event

Enotour is organized by Pro Loco Cossinea in collaboration with the Associazione Offida Nova and with the patronage of the Municipality of Cossignano. The initiative is part of the village's summer calendar, which each year features events linked to traditions, gastronomy, and the enhancement of the Piceno agricultural landscape.
