Flavours, music, and tradition on Corso Garibaldi in Nardò
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The End of Summer Festival is the annual September event that marks the ideal conclusion to the warmest season in Nardò, an elegant Baroque city in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Salento. The festival takes place along Corso Garibaldi, the main street crossing the historic centre, which transforms for the occasion into a vibrant path of stalls, lights, and music. It is an evening designed for residents, tourists, and anyone who loves being outdoors to enjoy the final, sweet nights of the Apulian summer.
The heart of the festival is its gastronomy: numerous stalls offer typical Salento specialties, the flavours and aromas of land and sea cuisine that make this corner of Puglia one of Italy's most beloved food and wine destinations. Strolling among the stalls, you can taste traditional peasant and maritime dishes, accompanied by local products in a convivial and festive atmosphere.
Alongside the food stalls, the festival offers live music and performances that keep the evening lively until late. The programme combines culture, music, and tradition, with performances designed to engage audiences of all ages along the illuminated street of the historic centre.
Set in the urban living room of Nardò, the festival also offers a chance to discover one of the most fascinating villages in Salento. A few steps from Corso Garibaldi lie the scenic Piazza Salandra, as well as the churches and palaces of the Lecce Baroque style that make Nardò a small capital of art. Overlooking the Ionian coast with its seaside resorts, the city holds a historical and artistic heritage that is worth a visit beyond the festival itself.
The End of Summer Festival is promoted by the Municipality of Nardò, in the province of Lecce, with the involvement of the businesses on Corso Garibaldi. Admission is free: simply head to the historic centre to let yourself be guided by the flavours, music, and joy of one of the most popular end-of-summer evenings in this part of Puglia.
