The Summer Solstice on the Hills of Fidenza

EccoFidenza2026 — Summer Solstice on Mount Ghinardo is an evening walk organized to celebrate the longest day of the year and the official arrival of summer. The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, on the hills above the village of Montemanulo, in the Municipality of Fidenza, province of Parma. The initiative is part of the EccoFidenza2026 program, a series of visits and experiences in the area curated by the IAT-R Fidenza Casa Cremonini office for Terre di Verdi.

The Route and the Experience

Mount Ghinardo is a panoramic and unspoiled place with an ancient history, overlooking the Pieve di Cusignano and the Fidenza countryside. The walk covers about 8 kilometers, with a moderate elevation gain of about 200 meters and a T (tourist) difficulty level, making it suitable for everyone. We start in the late afternoon to reach the summit during the hours when the solstice light offers its best colors, accompanied step by step by an environmental hiking guide who will talk about the landscape, nature, and traditions of this corner of the Parma Apennines.
