An independent festival at the foot of the Gran Sasso

DlenDlen Festival is one of the most original independent music events in Abruzzo, hosted every June in the historic center of Arsita, a tiny village in the province of Teramo nestled at the foot of Monte Camicia, on the Teramo side of the Gran Sasso massif. For two days, the town's squares, alleys, and spaces transform into scattered stages where singer-songwriter music meets art, workshops, and local gastronomy.

Origins and the memory of Amedeo Trignani

The festival was born in 2013 from the Allamanì APS association together with the duo Mobili Trignani, the creators and soul of the event. The curious name «dlen dlen» affectionately recalls the sound of a guitar and preserves the memory of Amedeo Trignani, a cultural reference point for the village who passed away in 2011. A courageous challenge was built around this memory: to bring artists and audiences to a small town in the Abruzzo hinterland, transforming the festival into a true cultural stronghold against the depopulation of inland areas.

Indie music and new discoveries

DlenDlen has established itself as «the festival of beautiful discoveries»: a lineup attentive to the Italian indie and alternative scene, having hosted names over the years such as Lucio Corsi, Ex-Otago, Dente, Colapesce and Dimartino, and Marlene Kuntz, as well as many emerging artists. Each edition alternates singer-songwriter music, art pop, electronica, and new sounds, with DJ sets enlivening the evenings in the village.

More than just concerts

Alongside the live performances, the festival offers a widespread program of workshops, art installations, and gastronomic offerings that blend Abruzzese tradition with contemporary trends. There is also Street Boulder, climbing among the village houses. With the patronage of the Municipality of Arsita and the support of local entities, DlenDlen Festival is now a fixed mid-June appointment for independent music lovers in Abruzzo, capable of attracting audiences from all over the region and beyond to a setting of rare natural and scenic beauty.
