Di Rara Pianta is the market of rare and antique plants held at the Parolini Botanical Garden in Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza. A niche but very carefully curated event, capable of attracting thousands of visitors thanks to the quality of the nurserymen and the elegance of the setting.
Nurserymen, roses, and botanical collections
The event brings together dozens of nurseries specializing in rare botanical collections: roses, orchids, aromatic plants, shrubs, but also ceramics and essential oils. Alongside the market, the program includes workshops (such as ikebana), readings, artistic activities, guided tours to discover the architecture of the historic garden, and the exchange of seeds and plants among enthusiasts.
The award and guests
A traditional highlight is the Donna Di Rara Pianta award, presented to a prominent figure in the world of greenery. The event is organized by the Rotary Club Bassano Castelli with the Fondazione Banca Popolare di Marostica Volksbank and the municipal administration, and enjoys the patronage of prestigious botanical institutions.

The 2026 edition, the fourteenth of the event, brings about 80 nurseries specializing in rare botanical collections to the Parolini Garden in Bassano del Grappa. Alongside the market, a packed program of workshops, readings, and artistic activities.
Among the events are ikebana workshops, guided tours of the garden's architecture, a botanical exhibition by Tobia Girardi, and the presence of architect Giulio Veronese, designer of Highgrove House gardens for King Charles III. On Sunday at 4:00 PM, the Donna Di Rara Pianta 2026 award ceremony, presented to Anna Peyron.

How to get there
Parolini Garden is located in the center of Bassano del Grappa, along Viale delle Fosse, reachable on foot from the station and the historic center. The city is connected by train and car via the SP248.
