Cuzzi co' j'ajju Festival

The 2025 edition of the Cuzzi co' j'ajju Festival took place on Sunday, August 17th, in the historic center of Roviano, in the Aniene Valley. The food stalls opened at 6:30 PM, serving handmade cuzzi in traditional wooden bowls, dressed with sautéed garlic, extra virgin olive oil, tomato, chili, and local pecorino. At 8:30 PM, the square hosted a screening of videos and photographs from past editions, curated by Virgilio Rocchi, offering a dive into the recent memory of the Roviano community. The evening continued with a concert by the band Impressioni d'Autore, featuring Italian pop-rock hits, until late at night. During the festival, guided tours were also offered to Castello Brancaccio, home to the Museum of Peasant Civilization of the Aniene Valley, and the Roman-era Ponte Scotonico, confirming the link between the festival and the historical heritage of the Lazio village.
