About Crostino Festival

On the first weekend of August, the Area Teatro Aperto in the hamlet of Poggio Berni, Poggio Torriana (province of Rimini), comes alive with the Crostino Festival, a village festival dedicated to one of the simplest and tastiest delights of Romagna tradition. Pro Loco volunteers prepare crostini with fresh seasonal vegetables for all tastes, served at the food stand from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The two evenings conclude with live tribute concerts in the open-air arena: a convivial event, focused on good food and good music.

A Village Festival Between Crostini and Music

The Crostino Festival is one of the most beloved summer events in Poggio Berni, a hamlet of the Municipality of Poggio Torriana, in the hilly hinterland of the province of Rimini, in Emilia-Romagna. Every year, on the first weekend of August, the Area Teatro Aperto (the village's open-air arena) welcomes residents and visitors for two evenings dedicated to good food and good music.

The Crostino, Star of the Evening

The true king of the festival is the crostino: toasted bread garnished with fresh seasonal vegetables, prepared by the volunteers of the Pro Loco of Poggio Berni in many variations designed to please all palates. It's a simple and genuine offering, which well represents the spirit of Romagna cuisine, made of local ingredients and conviviality. The food stand is open both evenings from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, allowing you to dine before the evening show.

Live Music Under the Stars

After dinner, the arena transforms into a stage: each evening of the festival features a live tribute concert, with bands reinterpreting the great names of Italian and international music. It's the moment most anticipated by the public, who fill the Area Teatro Aperto to sing and dance together until late at night. Some evenings have a symbolic entrance fee, others are free admission.

An Event for the Whole Community

More than just a food and wine festival, the Crostino Festival is a community celebration: an opportunity to get together, support the Pro Loco's activities, and experience the authentic atmosphere of the Valmarecchia villages. Poggio Torriana, born in 2014 from the merger of the Municipalities of Poggio Berni and Torriana, preserves a territory rich in historic mills, trails, and traditions: the festival is one of the most genuine ways to discover it.

Crostino Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Crostino Festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026, according to the Pro Loco of Poggio Berni's program. The event at the Area Teatro Aperto is confirmed, with the food stand offering crostini with fresh seasonal vegetables and the traditional live music evenings. The detailed music program will be announced by the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the event.

The Crostino Festival returns to Poggio Berni (Poggio Torriana, RN) on the weekend of Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Area Teatro Aperto.
