The parish summer festival in the hamlet of Crocette, on the Modenese Apennines
The Crocette Festival is one of the most cherished summer events in the small hamlet of Crocette, within the municipality of Pavullo nel Frignano, in the Province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). It is a parish festival organized by the Parish Group of Crocette, which for years has attracted local residents and holidaymakers who choose the cool air of the Modenese Apennines in the summer.
Like many festivals in the Frignano region, the event originates around the life of the parish and combines a religious program with a convivial one. Alongside community moments, the heart of the festival remains the food stall, where you can taste dishes from Emilian mountain cuisine and local typical products, prepared by village volunteers.
The evenings of the Crocette Festival offer a varied program that blends gastronomy, music, and entertainment, with activities and moments also designed for the little ones. It's the classic formula of an Apennine village festival: outdoor tables, live music, and the genuine atmosphere of a community coming together.
The festival is part of the rich calendar of festivals and fairs of the Pavullo summer, promoted by the Municipality of Pavullo nel Frignano. Visiting it is also an opportunity to discover Frignano, the mountainous area of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines known for its villages, forests, and a gastronomic tradition made of tortellini, crescentine, tigelle, and typical cured meats. A small event that tells the most authentic identity of the Modenese mountains.
The Crocette Festival 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, and Sunday, August 23rd, from 7 PM to 12 AM, in the hamlet of Crocette (Pavullo nel Frignano, MO). The dates are included in the official calendar Pavullo'26 - A Summer of Continuous Emotions by the Municipality.
For 2026, the festival maintains its traditional format: food stalls with typical products from the Frignano region, music, entertainment, and activities designed for families and children, alongside the usual parish religious program. The detailed program for the evenings will be released by the organizers shortly before the event.
