The Summer Kick-off Concert – a stage in nature is the open-air musical event that annually greets the arrival of the warm season in Valbrona, a municipality in the province of Como. Organized by the Pro Loco Progetto per Valbrona, it takes place in the scenic panoramic area of Gagèt, a natural balcony overlooking the Grigne mountains and the lake, which serves as the backdrop for an afternoon-evening of live music.

A stage open to soloists and groups

The concert's format is that of a small nature festival: from 5:00 PM until evening, soloists and musical groups take turns on stage, with a repertoire spanning pop, rock, soul, country, and Latin jazz. Participation is free for artists, who are selected through an open call, and the Pro Loco provides parking, instrument transport, audio service with a sound engineer, and evening refreshments. An opportunity to showcase local music in a unique setting.

Apericena and festive atmosphere

Accompanying the concerts is the apericena (pre-dinner drinks and snacks), which transforms the event into a convivial moment where music, landscape, and good food merge. Entry for the public is free, and the Summer Kick-off Concert has quickly established itself as one of the most beloved events of the Valbrona summer, attracting enthusiasts and curious visitors to the heights above Lake Como to celebrate the start of the most anticipated season together.
