The street food village at Parco delle Valli, in Rome's 3rd Municipality
The Conca d'Oro Street Food is the Roman stop of the TTS Food circuit (Typical Truck Street Food, a Mela Eventi format) that transforms the large parking area between Via delle Valli and Piazza Conca d'Oro, right next to Parco delle Valli, into a large open-air restaurant. We are in the 3rd Municipality of Rome Capital, in the Metropolitan City of Rome in Lazio, just a short walk from the subway station and the neighborhood's shopping street: a location that has turned the event into a neighborhood meeting point rather than just a food fair.
The first edition dates back to October 2023, when the 3rd Municipality hosted a major street food event for the very first time: four days that brought thousands of people to the redeveloped parking lot of Parco delle Valli. The success of that debut convinced the organizers to return the following spring, with the extended edition from May 1st to 5th, 2024, spanning the Labor Day holiday. In 2026, the Conca d'Oro area returned to the spotlight with a renewed formula, Gusto in Musica, which combined Street Chef stalls with the programming of the Rino Gaetano Arena.
The core principle of the format is made-to-order cooking: every Street Chef prepares a limited number of dishes representing their local territory on the spot in front of the public. Over the editions, offerings have included:
Vegan and gluten-free options are always available and clearly marked at the stalls, ensuring that those with specific dietary needs can enjoy the experience without compromise.
The stands are arranged in rows parallel to the center of the square, forming true "streets of taste" furnished with freely accessible tables and chairs. During the day, large umbrellas create shaded areas for lunch; as the sun sets, scenic lighting, illuminated displays, and music take center stage, with relaxation areas designed for families. Admission to the food area is free, and there is no obligation to purchase: you enter, stroll among the stalls, and choose.
Beyond the culinary offerings, Conca d'Oro Street Food has taken on the value of a social gathering for a sector of northeast Rome usually far from tourist circuits. The greenery of Parco delle Valli, the resident base of the Conca d'Oro, Val Melaina, and Monte Sacro neighborhoods, and the good accessibility via public transport explain why the format has been repeated multiple times. For visitors arriving from outside Rome, it is also an opportunity to see a city different from the one on postcards: a residential neighborhood that gathers outdoors in the evening around a table.
The dates are not fixed: the TTS Food circuit schedules its Roman stops from season to season, between spring and autumn. Conca d'Oro was chosen in October (2023), May (2024), and July (2026, with the Gusto in Musica format). It is therefore advisable to check the updated calendar on the organizers' website before traveling.
From July 3rd to 5th, 2026, the TTS Food team brought the Gusto in Musica formula to the Rino Gaetano Arena, in the heart of Parco delle Valli in Conca d'Oro: Italian and international street food combined with three evenings of live entertainment, designed for families, young people, and music lovers.
The area was set up with lighting scenography, light shows, relaxation zones, and ample space for tastings, with tables and chairs distributed among the stalls. Over twenty Street Chefs from various Italian regions offered gourmet reinterpretations of traditional dishes, world cuisines (Mexico, Greece, India, Argentina), gluten-free options, and desserts, all prepared with made-to-order cooking. The three evenings took place from 5 PM to midnight.
An opportunity, in the heart of the Roman summer, to experience the greenery of the 3rd Municipality away from the chaos of the city center.
Village opening from 5 PM. In the evening, Viteculture Party: music, fun, and summer energy on the Rino Gaetano Arena stage (evening with a separate ticket).
Street Chef stalls open from 5 PM to midnight. In the evening, DJ set: music and rhythm to dance under the stars, free admission.
Last day from 5 PM to midnight. Grand finale with the Orchestraccia concert, one of the most beloved bands in the Capital, capable of engaging the public with energy, irony, and Roman spirit. Free admission.
Throughout the duration of the event: over twenty Street Chefs, tasting area, relaxation zones, and lighting installations in Parco delle Valli.
Piazza Conca d'Oro, in the parking lot adjacent to Parco delle Valli, between Via delle Valli and Via Val d'Ala, 3rd Municipality of Rome. Musical evenings are held in the Rino Gaetano Arena, inside the park.
Subway: Line B1, Conca d'Oro stop, a few minutes' walk away. It is the most convenient way to reach the event.
Car: Exit 9 or 10 of the Grande Raccordo Anulare towards Nomentana/Salaria; park in the surrounding streets, as the usual square is occupied by the village.
Train and plane: From Rome Termini via Metro B/B1 in about twenty minutes; from Fiumicino Airport via Leonardo Express to Termini and then metro.
Free admission to the street food area, with no ticket or mandatory purchase. You only pay for what you consume at the stalls, with portions generally ranging from a few euros to about ten euros. Some evening concerts may require a separate ticket.
Peak time is in the evening after 8 PM; to find a seat comfortably, it is best to arrive at opening time or in the early afternoon on days with daytime opening. The area is outdoors: on sunny days, a hat is useful, while in case of rain, a light jacket is recommended. The event is suitable for children and strollers, with flat paths.
