About Como Youth Sound
A stage for young musicians
Como Youth Sound is the live music contest that the Teatro Sociale di Como dedicates to young musical talents. Reserved for artists and bands under 30, the competition was created to offer young people a prestigious stage and a real opportunity for growth, in collaboration with Warner Chappell Music.
From selection to the final
The process begins with an open call for applications, to which hundreds of candidates respond: each submits their songs and a live performance video. An artistic committee selects the finalists, who proceed to the final evening at the Teatro Sociale, where they perform live with a set that must include at least one original song. It is the music played, in front of a real audience, that decides who emerges.
Prizes and opportunities
In addition to the cash prize for the winners, Como Youth Sound offers all finalists concrete opportunities: free rehearsal spaces and the chance to perform at festivals and events in the area, such as the Como City of Music Festival. An investment in young people that makes Como, in the province and in Lombardy, a reference point for the new music scene.
Como Youth Sound — edition 2026
The 1st edition of Como Youth Sound concludes with the final on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8:30 PM, at the Teatro Sociale in Como. Reserved for artists and bands under 30 (ages 14-29), the contest received hundreds of applications, from which an artistic committee selected the eight finalists. On stage, each performs a live set of at least three songs, with at least one original piece. Admission is free.
Programme Como Youth Sound 2026
The final evening takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8:30 PM at the Teatro Sociale in Como.
- Eight finalists selected by an artistic committee from the received applications
- Each artist or band performs live for approximately 15 minutes, with a set of at least three songs (including at least one original)
- Cash prize for the winners and a promotional trailer
- For all finalists: free rehearsal spaces and opportunities to perform at festivals and events in the region in 2026-2027
The selection process took place in the preceding months, with registrations, evaluation of applications, and announcement of the finalists.

How to get there
The final takes place at the Teatro Sociale di Como, in Via Bellini, in the city center. Como is reachable by train (Como San Giovanni and Como Nord Lago) and by car from the A9 motorway.
Admission
Participation in the contest is free for artists, and the final evening is free for the public.
