Commerciando, the white night of Cerano

In Cerano, a town in the province of Novara overlooking the West Ticino area, Commerciando returns—the white night dedicated to local commerce. For one evening, shutters stay up until midnight, and the streets of the center transform into a large shared space for shopping, listening to music, and experiencing the town in a unique atmosphere. It is one of those occasions where a small Piedmontese town tells its story through its shops, artisans, and the joy of coming together.

A returning formula

The initiative did not come out of nowhere: Commerciando revives a format already tested in Cerano in the past, now relaunched by the municipal administration. The idea, as explained by the Councilor for Commerce Alessandro Albanese, is both simple and ambitious: to make Cerano's commercial establishments known beyond the town's borders, highlighting their activities and products. The hope is that the evening will become a fixed appointment on the calendar, capable of repeating itself year after year.

What to expect

The heart of the event is the merchants themselves: they shape the evening with open shop windows, special offers, promotions, and small initiatives designed shop by shop. Alongside shopping, there will be music and entertainment spread throughout the center, in a setting designed for families, residents, and visitors from neighboring towns. The collaboration with the Pro Loco of Cerano helps bring together the different facets of the event.

Cerano and its territory

Located between Novara and the Lombardy border, along the Ticino River, Cerano is a town with deep agricultural and commercial roots. A white night like Commerciando is also a way to rediscover the town center on foot, support small local businesses, and give visibility to an economic fabric that is part of the identity of the Cerano community and the Province of Novara.
