About Colli diVini

Colli diVini is the food and wine event that animates the Badia del Lavino Abbey every spring, in the heart of the Bolognese Hills in Monte San Pietro (BO). Born from the legacy of the historic Sagra del Vino (Wine Festival) and renewed in format, the event celebrates the wines of the hills between Bologna and Modena with a tasting tour among producers, a farmers' and craft market, a food area, exclusive dinners, guided tours, jazz concerts, workshops, and shows, in a historically charming setting.

Colli diVini, the wine of the Bolognese Hills at the Badia del Lavino

Colli diVini is the spring event dedicated to the wine and food traditions of the Bolognese Hills, held in Monte San Pietro, a municipality in the province of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna. The event takes place at the Abbazia della Badia del Lavino, the most significant monument in the Lavino valley, offering visitors an experience that combines tastings, culture, and history in a charming setting.

From Sagra del Vino to Colli diVini

The event stems from the legacy of the historic Sagra del Vino of Monte San Pietro, which for about fifty years accompanied the spring of the territory. With a completely renewed format, Colli diVini promotes the wines of the hills between Bologna and Modena, with a particular focus on the area's symbolic grape varieties: sparkling wine, Pignoletto, and Rosso Bologna. The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Monte San Pietro with the support of the Municipality and the collaboration of entities such as Slow Food Valli Reno Lavino Samoggia and the Cittร  del Vino association.

A Program Between Wine and Culture

The heart of the event is the tasting tour among the producers' stalls, complemented by a food area and a farmers' and craft market. Alongside wine, the program offers a rich calendar of cultural initiatives:

  • Guided tastings and thematic focuses on sparkling wines, Pignoletto, and Rosso Bologna
  • Guided tours of the Abbey and the local history museum
  • Exclusive dinners in the suggestive crypt of the Abbey, with pairings curated by sommeliers
  • Concerts, including jazz music events
  • Workshops for children and activities for families
  • Readings, masterclasses, and itinerant street artists
  • The interactive theatrical performance "Delitto in Abbazia" by Zoรจ Teatri

A Heritage to Discover

The choice of the Badia del Lavino Abbey is no coincidence: this ancient complex, which houses the local history museum, is one of the most historically and culturally valuable sites in the municipality of Monte San Pietro. Visiting Colli diVini therefore means not only savoring the enological excellences of the Bolognese Hills but also rediscovering an architectural and landscape heritage that tells centuries of history of the Lavino valley, just a few kilometers from Bologna.
